Creative agency 72andSunny has bolstered its creative ranks with the appointments of Hayley Noble, Madi Chan and creative director V. Wassim Kanaan, as the agency continues a run of new business wins.

The hires follow a busy period for the agency, which recently added AFL, Cadillac and Deputy to its client roster, alongside long-term partnerships with Google and RealEstate.com.au.

Noble and Chan - known as Noble & Chan — join from Host/Havas. Noble is a copywriter and published author whose Tiny Love Stories appeared in The New York Times, while Chan brings award-winning design credentials, including a D&AD New Blood Yellow Pencil and DIA Australian Graduate Designer of the Year.

Kanaan, a respected creative lead and gender equality advocate, joins as creative director. His resume spans Saatchi & Saatchi, The Monkeys, Dentsu and Innocean and includes work on major local and global brands. He also founded the industry initiative FillThisPage.com, aimed at improving diversity in creative teams.

All three will work across 72andSunny’s portfolio and report to Wez Hawes, chief creative officer ANZ.

“Hayley, Madi and Wassim all embody the 72andSunny values,” Hawes said. “Their collective energy, optimism and passion for ideas is infectious.”

Kanaan said the agency’s momentum and cultural ambition were key to his decision to join: “Many creative agencies say they want to play in culture - 72andSunny actually does.”

Noble and Chan added they were excited to continue their growth under the leadership of Hawes and Kanaan, calling the move “an exciting next challenge to work on great brands with great people.”
